The Hong Kong Volunteer Award is made possible with the funding support of:

JC VOLUNTEER TOGETHER Caring School

To nurture students to serve the people in need and develop the value of volunteerism by encouraging schools to organize sustainable volunteer services and activities.


Eligibility: *Schools 

*According to section 3(1) of the Education Ordinance, "school" means an institution, organization or establishment which provides for 20 or more persons during any one day or eight or more persons at any one time, any nursery, kindergarten, primary, secondary or post-secondary education or any other educational course by any means, including correspondence delivered by hand or through the postal services


Judging and Selection Criteria: 

  • The school volunteer groups are required to complete at least 2 times of volunteer service or commit at least 100 volunteer service hours in the school year of 2022/23 (1st September 2022 to 31st August 2023)
  • Qualified schools will be awarded Caring School certificate and entitled to use the “Caring School” logo for the year as a recognition
  • Top ten schools with the highest volunteer hours will be awarded Top 10 Caring School certificate and entitled to use the “Caring School” logo for the year as a recognition
  • Individual service records of school staff, students, parents, and their relatives/ friends in the school year of 2022/23 (1st September 2022 to 31st August 2023) can be endorsed and submitted by the school, and qualified individuals will be awarded the individual certificate according to the judging and selection criteria of the Individual Award (Volunteer Hour)

JC VOLUNTEER TOGETHER Outstanding Caring School Award

To encourage schools to participate in volunteers’ contributions, The Award recognizes schools' contributions to volunteering and pays tribute to schools' outstanding performance and achievements in promoting volunteering. It aims to encourage more schools to participate in volunteer services.

*Remarks

  1. All judging items will be based on the activities, policy and impact in the school year of 2022/23 (1st September 2022 to 31st August 2023)
